DISASTER OF SARPAHOMAM

This is about the experience of a family who approached him about two years ago.The mother and sister of this person passed away due to severe mental disease.Now,his daughter also shows similar symptoms.Many Poojas and Pariharas were done to end this havoc,but nothing saw light.It was easily identified that all these were caused due to their deeds of last birth.One of the ancestors of this family had a love interest on a young girl.But her family decided to marry her off to someone else.The ancestor got angry on hearing about this and performed the most hazardous Sarpahomam of offering a snake to fire.Once the fire consumed the snake after its futile attempts of survival by somehow escaping from the fire,that virgin girl also died.Their third generation today,still pays for this disaster and their Karma continues.

Those whoever were born into this family bears Sarpadosha(ill-effects caused by the curse of snake),on their fourth phase.This is supposed to be borne by their upcoming generations also.But they still have an option to do Parihara to not repeat these in their succeeding births.Yet,they all still have to suffer further constraints as Karma.

A LEGEND

Iyer says that his family gives utmost importance to pleasing snakes(Sarpapreethi).It is believed that one of his great grandfathers had the fortune of having the snake deity(Nagadevatha)appear infront of him.Once,while he was performing snake Pooja with divine drawings on the floor(Kalamezhuthu),a humungous and powerful snake creeped insideand stuck out its tongue.The tongue had a sharp thorn nailed in it.He pulled the thorn out carefully,using his hands.The snake got disappeared after running its wounded tongue in the turmeric powder present from the Kalam.

That night,snake deity appeared in his dreams and blessed him,saying that she is satisfied on his divinity and will grace on everyone in his race.She also suggested to do deity Poojas in Swasthipathma,so that any deity will think of the divine position as theirs,and will be invocated at that holy seat(Peedam).From then onwards,following this,their families have only drawn nothing but Swasthipathma alone,for any big Homam.Iyer explained about the holy vibes.
